Uponor on tour in Slovenia with customer seminars on 13th and 14th of October 2009

Intensified Academy trainings for installers, wholesalers and planners together with Titan company

In a pleasant seminar hotel in Dvor Jezeršek, Zgornji Brnik Uponor and Titan d.d. had two common seminars. From Titan also the Mr. Demitrij Perčič – Commercial director and Mr. Lorenzo Tacchino – General manager held a welcome speech. After that Juergen Peter (Regional Sales Manager) presented the history, organization and top references of Uponor. Alexander Steinheimer, Technical sales, held a presentation focusing on the actual product systems. That included the multi layer composite pipe system with the new Riser system and the no bevel features of the MLCP press fittings from dimension 14 – 32 mm. In Slovenia underfloor heating is known but not yet widely used. Therefore that part of the seminar kept most of the interest. Especially the theoretical background and the practical examples intensified the knowledge transfer to installers and planners. The easy to install underfloor heating system with the fixation of pipes on the positioning panels were important for the installers. Whereas the different parameters for the calculation of underfloor heating and the influence of carpets, tiles or parquet were of much interest for the planners.
The product presentation was rounded up by an introduction of Uponor pre-insulated pipe systems and there possible use for different applications.

Also the new features and services of the new webpage www.uponor.si were welcomed by the visitors as a milestone for the easy access of further information on Uponor in Slovenia.
The response on the seminars was quite well. Totally 68 installers and 41 planners visited the specialized seminars for them.

After the seminar there was a cold buffet with food and drinks, where first impressions about the seminar and feedback were collected. The response from the customers was that such kind of seminars are very important and a key factor is sharing the knowledge and experience with them. So there is much interest for further specialized seminars in 2010.

One of the visitor stated clearly: “Uponor is known as one of the biggest producers of multi layer composite and PE-Xa pipe systems and well known for its quality and big assortment and solutions in Slovenia.”
