Uponor on Tour – from 10th – 14th of March live on the ISH 2009 Frankfurt am Main in Germany experienced an eventful week on the occasion of the 50th international trade fair ISH for sanitary, heating and cooling. More than 200.000 visitors came to see the news of our branch, with 2.361 exhibitors from 58 countries being present on the fair grounds. Contrarily to the general negative market trend worldwide, there were even more international visitors than the years before – according to the statistics, almost every 3rd visitor came from a foreign country. The main themes of the fair clearly were energy efficiency and renewable energies. Two topics which will be in the focus of discussions also for the coming times as well. Uponor with new product innovations As market leader in underfloor heating and plumbing Uponor has exhibited its entire range of innovative and energy-saving underfloor heating possibilities on the fair consistent with the ISH general motive. For plumbing the new Uponor multi layer composite riser system for dimension 63 to 110 mm as well as the new generation of the multi layer composite pipe system for tap water installation and radiator heating for the outer dimensions from 14 up to 32 mm has been introduced to the public. Now no more calibration and bevelling is needed. For the plumber that means less tools and to save one entire working step which leads to a time reduction of about 30% for the press connection. The innovative Uponor PE-Xa pipe system with the PPSU fittings up to dimension 63 mm have also been shown. The new Comfort Panel for cooling from the ceiling attracted the visitors as well as the building and planning software Uponor HSE.
The unicycle artist Peter Rosendahl brought the entertainment factor to the booth. His unique shows, in which he implicated Uponor products like the new riser system, attracted a crowd of people whenever the music started. A second highlight was the dynamic gig of the band “Red means on” on the occasion of the VIP customer evening on the booth. Great mood, enjoyable conversations with customers and colleagues and simply a nice atmosphere let the evening gently fade away after a long and exhausting day on the fair.
The next ISH will take place from 15th to 19th of March 2011 in Frankfurt/Main, Germany. Until then Uponor will be present on many other exhibitions all over the world and also be present at local seminars.
