Uponor on Tour at the Saudi Build Fair

Uponor on tour at the Saudi Build in Riyadh from 4th – 7th of October

Participation at the most important exhibition for building materials in the capitol of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The international recession has not hit the booming building market of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. As this is one of Uponor’s key market we have been participating at the four day event with a 16 m² booth. The fair did take place at the new Riyadh International Exhibition Centre. The four day fair attracted 18,000 visitors compared to 12,000 visitors in 2008. That was far beyond the expectations of the fair organisers.
Important is the quality of visitors on the fair and their ability of decision making. Andre du Preez, regional sales manager underlines that also when he comments:

“The Saudi Build was a success and our stand was visited by many interested persons over a wide spectrum of disciplines. We succeeded in having meaningful demonstrations and discussions and good business prospects that could develop into sales.” He further added: “We had also a good response from plumbers and installers working in the private home/villa sector on our product range.”
In the meantime further intensive contacts after the fair underline the success of it.
Thus Uponor will surely also participate in the Saudi Build in 2010.

The vice president of marketing for organisers Riyadh Exhibitions company Sadi Kaddoura said “The event was a marked improvement on last year’s Saudi Build which attracted 12,000 people.”
