Quick & Easy fitting technology – reliable for the past 15 years

Uponor PE-Xa pipes are produced for more than 35 years now. The system consists of in-house produced PE-Xa pipes and fittings that fit perfectly together. The system is complemented by the necessary accessories and a sophisticated tools program – everything out of one hand to ensure reliable tap water and radiator connection installation.
15 years ago Uponor has developed the simple but ingenious Quick and Easy connection system which produces pressure-sealed, durable joints in just 25 seconds. The innovation made use of the shrinking back effect, which only works with crosslinked PE-Xa pipes produced by Uponor. The result is a long-term seal between the pipe and the fitting. In the beginning the fittings were made of special brass alloys, nowadays we offer the fittings made of the highly advanced polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) material. Also fittings with male and female thread as well as the manifolds are made of PPSU. The actual PPSU fitting range is available from dimension 16 up to 63 mm.

For the installation of the system only 3 steps are needed:
1. Place the Quick & Easy ring on the pipe
2. Widen the pipe end with the expander tool
3. Push the pipe onto the PPSU fitting – done!

Uponor always provides an entire system. Continuous development is a main target for this system to make it more user-friendly and reliable. Examples are the stop edges for the Quick & Easy rings and the newly developed self rotating expander head. Both innovations allow an even easier, faster and safer installation then before.
