Uponor’s International Trainee Programme

Uponor’s International Trainee Programme is now open for application

Build on Uponor: International Trainee Programme is now open for application until 15 November 2017. The 2-year programme is set to start mid-January 2018.

Uponor will be recruiting eight new trainees, who will be based at Uponor’s units in Finland, Sweden, USA, Spain, Poland, Denmark and Germany. The trainees have the option of choosing between a technical and a commercial track.

This is a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates to gain work experience and international exposure, and to develop on a personal level. The trainees get to work on a number of exciting projects in a world leading company, including one 6-month project abroad,” says Minna Blomqvist, Uponor’s Executive Vice President, Human Resources.

This is Uponor’s fourth international trainee programme. The previous one was launched in 2016, and had almost 800 applicants. The trainee programmes have been very successful and well-liked, and many of the previous trainees are still working for Uponor, now in permanent positions.

I really enjoy the programme because every day is different. I’ve had the opportunity to work on projects in different departments and really get an insight into all the functions of the company. For example, so far I’ve worked within marketing, where I got to be a bit more creative, and at the moment I have a project within transportation and logistics where I get to be a bit more hands-on,” says Malin Backlund, one of Uponor’s current international trainees.

I would recommend this to someone who is active, curious and open-minded. You get the opportunity to really develop yourself, have an impact on the company and the whole industry and its future,” says Annasofia Grönholm, another one of Uponor’s current international trainees.
