I de senere år er kvalitetsstyring af regnvand blevet en stadig vigtigere del af byernes regnvandsstrategier. Et pilotprojekt blev lanceret i Heinola for at rense regnvand med innovative filterbrønde udviklet af Uponor. Samtidig vil der blive indsamlet værdifulde forskningsdata om regnvandskvaliteten fra to forskellige typer områder og om de rensningsresultater, der opnås med filterbrønde.

Uponor’s Weholite technology was the key solution in a unique project in London, where the Lee Tunnel and Thames Tideway tunnel have the task of capturing an average of 39 million tonnes of sewage a year from the 35 most polluting combined sewer overflows (CSOs). An upgraded pipeline system was designed to reduce the number of overflows – and their environmental impact – from the sewers and treatment systems serving London. A particular aim is to limit pollution from the sewers and treatment systems connected to the Beckton and Crossness sewage treatment works.

The largest building project during 2017

The modernisation of the wastewater treatment plant is a key task of the project "Comprehensive modernization of wastewater treatment plant in Opole along with improvement of water and wastewater management".

The Bävern block, located in the center of Karlstad, is a residential building that was completed in early 2023. Skanska, who built the homes, chose Uponor underfloor heating instead of radiators and also a variant that is completely new on the Swedish market and is adapted for multi-family buildings.

The RIVERGATE office building in Vienna, Austria, was certified as a Green Building by the EU andrelies on the efficient Contec ON concrete surface activation.

The plumbing company Mälardalens Rör in Västerås moved from their premises that they had been in since the end of the 80s. In November 2021, the first test trench was taken and at the turn of the year 2022/2023 they moved into the new office on a plot of land they have owned for a long time. We visited and spoke with the owners Robert Lind and Veronica Lange to hear more about the project.

The new summer cottage house in Suolahti, Äänekoski, is using floor heating and cooling controlled by an Uponor Smatrix Pulse control system. The heat source will be a NIBE geothermal heat pump. Uponor and NIBE were responsible for the design and sizing of the heating and cooling system for the new house.

Due to the interest rates of the floor structures, underfloor heating at Uponor's new head office required a solution that would raise the floor surface as little as possible. A functional result was achieved with an unusual implementation, low-structure underfloor heating plates, which are mainly used in renovations of detached houses, and which increase the floor height by only 15 millimetres.
