Governor's Palace, which until 1917 served as the residence of the governor of Kazan with the premises of the Imperial Apartments, was built in its present form in the mid-IXX century by well-known architect Ton K.A., the author of Christ the Savior Cathedral in Moscow.
Currently the building houses the residence of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The building was completely renovated in 1998-2001. Building height is 28 meters, building area is 56x40 meters.
