Production lines for flexible PU preinsulated pipes

The needs of district heating/cooling pipes has been growing rapidly. Uponor Infra Technology has delivered several district heating pipe manufacturing lines round the world.

The continuous pipe foaming process is one of the relatively new advanced production technique and compared to the conventional discontinuous pipe filling technique, it allows reduction of foam filling density and casing pipe thickness that can result in substantial cost savings for the pipe manufacturer. Automated manufacturing can also result savings in labor costs.

Uponor Infra Technology provides production lines for PU insulated flexible pipes ranging from 16 up to 110 mm. Inner pipe, the carrier pipe (PE-RT, PE, steel etc.) is continuously fed into a molding section, together with a polyurethane foam mixture that is applied onto a film.
