Uponor minipurifying plant at Vara
With experience from among others the building trade; Martin Börjesson decided in 2006 that it was time to try something new and to be his own master. He established a company, Qurage Minigräv, and has since then worked with both small as big excavation jobs at and around Vara. Among the customers there are both private households as companies. The biggest part of the activity is mainly private sewers. This year Qurage has already installed five of Uponor’s private sewers. A considerable increase compared with earlier years and a trend which follows the municipality’s demand for private sewers. A development which leads to higher water quality and better environment. For how you then turn, the worst thing is with our country’s all separate sewers than the ones which the municipalities take care of. “People think that they have a good private sewer until you have digged up the pipes. They scarcely keep together and many households have just straight pipes – no cleaning at all”, Martin Börjesson says.
Qurage Minigräv and Martin Börjesson work close to the customers and it is important to be able to recommend a product he trusts in. “There are many trade marks on the market, but you want to have an established trade mark and which you can count on, being on the market for a long time and having a built out service net work”, Martin Börjesson says. He has thus chosen Uponor’s private sewer and pipes. “They are simple and flexible to install. The dosage is pre-set so you do not have to be wasteful with many adjustments”, Martin says. For customers who ask for a cheaper alternative he has many arguments. “The running costs with Uponor’s products will be lower as the cheaper private sewers use more chemicals and need to be filled up more often. Then there will always be spare parts available when it is time for service”.
An example that the arguments bite is all those who has been in touch with Qurage for an infiltration system but then instead has ordered a minipurifying plant. Requiring less space and no risk that it will be filled with coats, the reasons usually are for those who change side. “A customer who was going to connect to the municipal sewer with pump station, changed his mind to a minipurifying sewer from Uponor with inspection agreement; it was as comfortable as the municipal sewer and he saved 30 000 Swedish crowns on the bargain”.
So far the excavations for private sewers have run on very well. At some jobs blasting has been needed but with today’s technique with water cracking, such obstacles are no problem at all. Lately Martin Börjesson has installed a 10-persons minipurifying plant for a farm property at Larv outside Vara. It was number five this year and it looks as it will be several more ahead. Now when writing there is heating which is of current interest, when Qurage digs for changing oil furnace to ground heat. Of course, it will be Uponor’s pipes which will lead the heat.
At the housing fairs of Kouvola, in summer 2019, was presented House Beauty which has the modern control system Uponor Smatrix Pulse for radiant underfloor heating and cooling system.
Uponor's radiant underfloor heating and cooling system was installed in a new single family house. During the record high heat wave, the system was in real action.
The 30 years old copper plumbing of the house were replaced with a Uponor composite system. The renovation was over in one day. The contractor for the job was LVI-Dalton Ltd from Klaukkala, Finland.
At the end of autumn 2013, Uponor's new product, Uponor Gray Water Filter Home, was installed in Ruuhijärvi, Nastola.
