Uponor’s Commitment
At Chochołowskie Thermal Baths—one of the largest thermal complexes in Poland—Uponor systems operate behind the scenes. They are responsible for heating the facilities, ensuring comfort in the relaxation areas, maintaining optimal pool water conditions, and keeping parking lots and terraces safe and ice-free.
For visitors, it’s an invisible luxury. For Uponor—a daily engineering challenge.

Uponor provided complete installation solutions for the newly built section of the facility (approx. 5,000 m²), including changing rooms, a spa, relaxation areas, a hotel section, and thermal pools. The scope of the project also included the modernization of existing systems and the heating of parking lots and driveways.
Modern Uponor systems at the heart of geothermal energy
In Chochołów, energy comes from nature—from hot geothermal springs that supply water reaching temperatures of up to 90°C. GF Building Flow Solution (formerly Uponor), as a technology partner, helped effectively harness this heat:
the final stage of its utilization is heating parking lots, beaches, terraces, and floors in the complex’s buildings.

Uponor solutions used

•     Heating, process heat, and water supply systems:
•     UPP and MLC pipes (diameters 16–90 mm) with the reliable S-Press Plus fitting system.
•     Pre-insulated pipe systems:
•     Ecoflex Varia, Thermo, Thermo VIP, VIP Aqua (Ø32–125 mm) with Wipex and Q&E systems, ensuring minimal heat loss during transmission.
• Distribution systems:
• Vario S and Magna, guaranteeing even energy distribution and stable system operation.
• Surface heating and cooling systems:
• Comfort Pipe Plus (CPP) pipes in diameters of 9.9–25 mm, in Classic, Tacker, Minitec, SnowMelting, Fix 9.9, and Rail System 14 configurations, including stair and window sill heating.
• Automation systems:
• Uponor Base Pro and Base/Wave Pulse, controlling temperature in various zones—from hotel rooms to technical spaces.

Heating of parking lots and driveways—efficient use of energy
Uponor supplied outdoor surface heating systems covering a total area of over 8,000 m², implemented in several phases.
Comfort Pipe Plus 25x2.3 pipes were used, ensuring even heat distribution and high resistance to weather conditions.
In recent weeks, heating for the CARPORT driveways, covering an area of approximately 2,000 m², was also completed.
