Energy efficiency and reliability in the new Volvo truck service centreA modern Volvo truck service centre is being built in Gręzów near Siedlce, including an extensive service hall and an office area. As part of the investment , comprehensive Uponor installation solutions were used, including radiant heating systems and water installations made in the Uni Pipe PLUS technology. The aim was to achieve maximum comfort of use, while ensuring low operating costs of the facility.
Project information
Design challengesThe project required the design of installations with very low operating costs, which was a significant challenge for a large service hall. An additional difficulty was to ensure stable thermal comfort in the space, where there are as many as 10 entry and exit gates regularly opened for trucks. The large volume and constant air exchanges required an exceptionally well-selected heating system.
Technical conceptIn response to the needs of the investment, a system based on a ground source heat pump was designed, supplying the Uponor surface heating system.
