An 18-story resort and convention center in Chula Vista, Calif., needed a streamlined HVAC piping solution that ensured installation efficiency. Control Air Enterprises was responsible for the wet- and dry-side HVAC systems, and sought an optimized, durable, and lightweight solution for the chilled-water and hot-water risers that reduced labor costs.
Specifically, Control Air noted that traditional riser installations were time-intensive and that connection-heavy systems often slowed past project timelines. To address this, they selected Uponor Prefabricated PEX Water Risers and leveraged Uponor Prefabrication Services to assemble and transport the risers to the resort, which simplified the installation and maximized labor savings.
