At 670 feet in height, the tower at 321 West Sixth Street in Austin, Texas, is the second-largest high rise in the city’s central business district. For a project of this scale, Austin-based The Porter Company chose Uponor PEX-a and Kitting Services to decrease overall installation time, speed up the planning process, and facilitate quicker construction start times.

Hybrid polymer piping systems combine PEX-a and Schedule 80 CPVC to provide a cost-effective, corrosion-resistant solution.

In November 2024, GF partnered with Aduro Clean Technologies, an organization that has developed a chemical platform that –among others– transforms waste plastics into high-quality intermediates from which new plastics can be produced. They are leading the industry forward by piloting advanced sustainable recycling processes for PEX and other plastics.
