Backwashing removes the accumulated particles, and discharges them into the wastewater. With rotary-pulse technology, a short backwashing sequence of just three 3-second cycles suffices. The filter screen is cleaned from the inside by a rotating, high-pressure water jet, achieving high efficiency with minimal backwashing water.

Unlike conventional backwash filters, where the filter screen is only flowed through from the inside to the outside, the rotational momentum technology concentrates the volume flow in rotating chambers. This results in a higher flow velocity and thus a significantly stronger cleaning effect.
The filter screen is cleaned more thoroughly, the flushing process takes less time, and water consumption is reduced. At 4 bar inlet pressure, only 15 liters of flushing water are required.
