This "Class A" house is the maximum expression of the words "energy efficiency". Perfect thermal insulation, solar panels, heat pumps and Uponor underfloor heating & cooling system paired up with wireless temperature control are perflectly integrated in the building structure.
Uponor Sales people, engineers and installers worked together to create a comfortable living solution. They started with the ideal thermal insulation, which is a fundamental aspect for a "Class A" building. The green roof grants a pleasant integration with the beautiful natural scenary of the area.
Uponor underfloor heating & cooling is paired up with renewable energy souces, and the ideal temperature is obtained with Uponor wireless control with LCD display.
Mechanical ventilation is also another important aspect of the project. The indoor air is automatically changed every 24 hours. This will reduce the thermal losses due to the frequent opening and closing of windows, and since the air is constantly renwed, it will created a healthy and allergene-free environment.

Underfloor heating for single family home with Comfort E
Uponor’s electric underfloor heating system, Comfort E, was installed to a single family house, built in 1984, during the renovation project. Electric underfloor heating was carried out throughout the house, except for the sauna and shower rooms, which are still under planning.

Getting rid of indoor radon
Uponor's radon system was installed in a detached house in Ilomantsi, completed in 1987. Previously, the radon values in the house were 1,188 becquerels. After installing the system, the radon values dropped to 83.
Luxury family log house
Sami Kapanen's dream home was built in 2012 on the shore of Lake Kallavesi near Kuopio. The log house is one of the largest private detached houses in Finland. The house required almost four times as much building services material as a normal detached houses.
A pilot project that still works like a dream
Ervi and Liisa Helanto were among the first to own a Uponor biological treatment plant in Finland. The plant was installed in 1999. The user feedback that has been obtained since then has played an important role in the development of the device.
The biological treatment plant is worth its price
The Murto family, from Savonlinna, Finland, live in a sturdy log cabin built in 1845. The waste water system of the house had last been overhauled in the 1970s and the old concrete wells and absorption field had reached the end of their lifecycle. The choice was between renovating the old wells and getting an Uponor biological treatment plant, and the decision was not difficult to make.

Renovation of the district heating piping system of six housing companies
Six housing companies located in the Hurttivuori district in Turku have a joint heating plant – Nokikana Oy. The terraced houses, which were built between 1975 and 1977, contain a total of 104 flats. Heating and water are supplied to all flats by a joint heating plant. Renovating the piping system became a necessity due to leaks. The plant's insulated elements were renovated in such a way that all residents were able to live in their homes for the entire duration of the renovation.
