GF building flow solutions appoints new business development manager

We believe that our team is the driving force behind our success, delivering expert knowledge, hands-on support, and a commitment to excellence at every stage. One team member that embodies these crucial factors is our newly appointed Business Development Manager in the UK for the South – Diana Puiu.

Diana joined Uponor (now GF Building Flow Solutions) in October 2020 as a Design and Estimation engineer bringing with her extensive knowledge of the HVAC industry. Since then and during her time with us, Diana became a specialist team leader and has collaborated on a wide variety of projects from the initial stages through to successful completion.

We are delighted that Diana has now started a new role with us as Business Development Manager, with a specific focus on expanding relationships with new and existing customers across the South-East. Working in close collaboration with sales teams, she will continue to apply her expertise to support projects and teams, ensuring that specifications are fit for purpose and adding value to the process wherever possible to achieve the best results.

When asked what makes GF Building Flow Solutions different from other companies, Diana explained: “The sheer extent of our portfolio is a real area of distinction in my opinion. We have solutions for hot and cold-water systems, heating, cooling and wastewater, along with innovations such as bio-based PEX pipes, market leading MLC pipe as well as extensive riser systems. It means we can offer product solutions no matter what the requirements or challenge for residential properties, commercial buildings, hotels, offices, and other types of buildings or developments as well district and community heat networks.”

“What truly sets GF Building Flow Solutions apart, however, is our commitment to sustainability. We're actively driving the transition to low-carbon construction by developing systems that minimise heat loss, reduce energy consumption, and lower CO₂ emissions across the building lifecycle. Our bio-based PEX pipes, for example, significantly cut carbon impact without compromising performance, and our systems are designed with circularity and longevity in mind. As a company, we’re aligned with global climate goals and are working towards carbon neutrality – supporting our customers and partners on their journey to net zero,” continued Diana.
Diana went on to explain how the company’s underfloor heating (UFH) systems also play a key role in sustainable design, especially when integrated with low-temperature heat sources and district heating networks. On this Diana said, “They provide energy-efficient comfort while helping projects meet the latest requirements of Part L of the Building Regulations. With optimal thermal performance, reduced operating temperatures, and seamless integration into both new builds and retrofit projects, our UFH systems are a future-ready solution that supports carbon reduction across all building types.”

Finally, Diana also shared that it’s the people that make the job so special for her: “I am fortunate to work somewhere where we have highly experienced individuals and a real sense of teamwork to deliver whatever is needed. Meeting customers, learning about their projects, and helping to problem solve is one of the best parts of my job, and I thoroughly enjoy the collaborative nature of the role.”
