High level of comfort meets low energy costs

Part of the historic abbey complex on the premises of Villeroy & Boch's headquarters in Mettlach has been completely renovated.

Heat interface units provide a high level of warmth and comfort as well as optimum drinking water hygiene in three multi-family homes.

The plumbing company Mälardalens Rör in Västerås moved from their premises that they had been in since the end of the 80s. In November 2021, the first test trench was taken and at the turn of the year 2022/2023 they moved into the new office on a plot of land they have owned for a long time. We visited and spoke with the owners Robert Lind and Veronica Lange to hear more about the project.

The new summer cottage house in Suolahti, Äänekoski, is using floor heating and cooling controlled by an Uponor Smatrix Pulse control system. The heat source will be a NIBE geothermal heat pump. Uponor and NIBE were responsible for the design and sizing of the heating and cooling system for the new house.

Due to the interest rates of the floor structures, underfloor heating at Uponor's new head office required a solution that would raise the floor surface as little as possible. A functional result was achieved with an unusual implementation, low-structure underfloor heating plates, which are mainly used in renovations of detached houses, and which increase the floor height by only 15 millimetres.

Founded in 1971, Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center in Finland, Minn. was the first environmental learning center nationally accredited as a K-12 school. More than 15,000 people all over the region stay at the facility for several days to immerse themselves in developing the knowledge, skills, motivation and commitment to create a quality environment.

A new logistics centre is being build in Sipoo, Finland for S Group. One of the key factors for working centre is a big enough storm water system.

Sami Kapanen's dream home was built in 2012 on the shore of Lake Kallavesi near Kuopio. The log house is one of the largest private detached houses in Finland. The house required almost four times as much building services material as a normal detached houses.

Sipe Santapukki's appartment in the small multi story building that was built in 1930's was renovated thoroughly. Practicality, intimacy and energy efficient were the starting point for the renovation. Uponor's underfloor heating system and Drain gully system was chosen for the renovation.
