The joint renovation project in Maunula – cost savings through co-operation

In the Maunula district of Helsinki, an exquisite joint renovation project is under way. The project, begun in 2012, involves six housing companies. The modernisation of the building technology is being implemented with elements from the Uponor Cefo line, for renovation of water, sewer, and ventilation systems, coming to 1,350 elements in total.

The Karisma shopping centre is one of Finland´s largest shopping centers measured by sales area and number of stores. Developer of Karisma is Kesko. Construction of Karisma has been one of the biggest investments ever in retail trade of Kesko. The main contractor of Karisma was SRV Rakennus ltd.

Stora Enso’s Imatra mill, located in southeast Finland, annually produces one million tonnes of packaging paper and board. The Imatra mill’s two production units produce raw materials for cartons, in which juice and milk are packaged. Board is also used to produce paper cups, as well as cigarette and candy packages. Board for the graphics industry is used to produce cards, covers and luxury packages.

The Kastelli community centre, which was completed in 2014, is the City of Oulu's educational, leisure and culture centre that serves the residents of the city in many different ways. Uponor's underfloor heating system has been installed in the building.

The waste water channel for the pulp line of the mill, which was renovated in 2017, was commissioned in the 1960s. Now there were fear that it would collapse. The new solution was Weholite.

HAMK's zero-energy hall uses energy piles

Construction of Finland's first virtually zero-energy hall was completed in May 2015. The hall was built for the Thin Sheet Centre research unit of the Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK) and it draws its energy primarily from energy piles and solar panels.
