GF introduces GF Flow Symposium, a flagship customer event designed to address today’s biggest challenges across commercial, infrastructure and industrial markets. This event brings together visionaries, experts and customers to explore the future of system solutions that help them build faster, smarter and more sustainably.  

An 18-story resort and convention center in Chula Vista, Calif., needed a streamlined HVAC piping solution that ensured installation efficiency. Control Air Enterprises was responsible for the wet- and dry-side HVAC systems. They selected Uponor Prefabricated PEX Water Risers, and leveraged Uponor Prefabrication Services which simplified the installation and maximized labor savings.

GF announced Javier Alarcón as the new Vice President of Finance for GF Building Flow Solutions Americas, effective Dec. 15, 2025. In this role, Javier will oversee all aspects of Finance and Accounting. He will report to GF Building Flow Solutions Americas President John Reutter, who previously served as the Vice President of Finance and held the role in an interim capacity. Javier will be a key member of the company’s Senior Management Committee.

After 37 years serving customers in the plumbing and HVAC industry throughout Canada, Dan Kirkpatrick has reached his next career milestone: retirement. His journey with Uponor—and now GF—began in 1988 when he joined the company, which originated as Canapex followed by Wirsbo, as a design technician. He has held various roles since then with his primary title being technical field representative.

A new study from the Plastic Pipe and Fittings Association (PPFA), conducted by Drexel University, points to rightsizing piping systems to optimize flow velocity and improve water quality.

Chrissie Walsh, regional head of Environmental Sustainability at GF Building Flow Solutions Americas, has been named to the Minnesota Chamber Environmental Sustainability Foundation (MCESF) Board of Directors. Walsh’s primary function will be providing governance to and community representation for the MCESF. Walsh was appointed on Sept. 9, 2025, and will serve a three-year term. 

At 670 feet in height, the tower at 321 West Sixth Street in Austin, Texas, is the second-largest high rise in the city’s central business district. For a project of this scale, Austin-based The Porter Company chose Uponor PEX-a and Kitting Services to decrease overall installation time, speed up the planning process, and facilitate quicker construction start times.

Hybrid polymer piping systems combine PEX-a and Schedule 80 CPVC to provide a cost-effective, corrosion-resistant solution.

In November 2024, GF partnered with Aduro Clean Technologies, an organization that has developed a chemical platform that –among others– transforms waste plastics into high-quality intermediates from which new plastics can be produced. They are leading the industry forward by piloting advanced sustainable recycling processes for PEX and other plastics.
