Uponor IQ stormwater solution was installed in the Rakokivi's new community centre in Nastola, Lahti, so quickly that it surprised everyone involved.

Located in Finnish Lapland, on the Ounasjoki River, the village of Kaukonen now treats its wastewater with a new WehoPuts 400 treatment plant. As in many rural areas, long distances make village treatment plants a more sensible alternative than transporting wastewater tens of kilometres to the nearest town.

The aim of the City's development projects is to make the centre more suitable for pedestrians and public transport. Uponor's role in the project is to build a snow melting system and the related frame lines for Aleksanterinkatu's pavements and zebra crossings. What is special about this project is that it marks the first time that Uponor's new Ecoflex Thermo Single 125/250 pipes have been used in Finland.
