Facilities are beginning to gain prominence and influence as a key selling point in property developments
A development comprising 137 two-, three- and four-bedroom homes, located in the Villaverde district of Madrid
This development comprising 137 two-, three- and four-bedroom homes, located in the Villaverde district of Madrid, faced a major challenge: overcoming the physical constraints to create efficient facilities and maximise the performance of the domestic hot water and underfloor heating systems in a development divided into three blocks.
To this end, the property developer Premier Inmobiliaria and the architectural firm JD Ramos Arquitectura decided to incorporate the Uponor Combi Port solution into each of the more than 100 homes as a complement to the centralised system for both domestic hot water and invisible underfloor heating. The result has been to offer each home greater comfort and a better user experience, along with potential energy savings of 40%.
Would you like to know more about the project?
We invite you to watch the following videos, each around 60 seconds long, in which the key professionals who made the most important decisions and were involved in their implementation share their personal insights into the project.
Sandra García, Technical Director at Premier Spain, tells us about the project, why it is so special, and what it has been like to work with the team and with Uponor’s solutions.
“Uponor gives us a great deal of confidence, both technically and personally, when it comes to carrying out our work”
Jesús David Ramos Pinto of JD Ramos Arquitectura, who was responsible for designing the complex
“Given the distance between the homes, we felt that having an instant heat exchanger in the home was a very innovative solution”
Antonio Fernández, manager of Pull Energy Instalaciones, the company responsible for installing the project, takes us on a tour of the central control room to explain all its components, how it works, and how a two-pipe system greatly simplifies the setup.
“The key difference is that we only distribute energy”
And finally, Sergio García Tapias, Uponor’s residential segment manager, demonstrates the Uponor Combi Port heat transfer station.
“Using just two pipes ensures efficient distribution of underfloor heating and the instantaneous, hygienic production of domestic hot water”
This project has thus become a milestone for all the companies involved, thanks to its high energy efficiency and the maximum comfort it offers the owners, whilst also helping to protect the environment.
