S-ryhmän logistiikkakeskuksen alla on monta kilometriä putkiverkostoa. Mittava projekti aloitettiin maaliskuussa 2010 ja se valmistui 2012.

Kiviniityn Auto- ja Maatalouskonehuolto sai uuden lattialämmityksen ja -viilennyksen
Huittisissa toimiva Kiviniityn Auto- ja Maatalouskonehuolto Oy huoltaa nimensä mukaisesti autoja ja maatalouskoneita, mutta tärkeä osa yrityksen toimintaa on myös varaosien, työkalujen, koneiden ja laitteiden myynti. Huittisten toimipisteestä haetaan etenkin raskaankaluston varaosia.
Vuonna 2012 aloitetussa rakennusurakassa toteutettiin yritykselle nykyaikainen, maalämpöä hyödyntävä liikekiinteistö työkalu- ja varaosamyymäläkäyttöön. Hankkeen LVIAJ-suunnittelun hoiti Metalli ja LVI-Lundgren yhteistyössä Uponorin kanssa.
Vuonna 2012 aloitetussa rakennusurakassa toteutettiin yritykselle nykyaikainen, maalämpöä hyödyntävä liikekiinteistö työkalu- ja varaosamyymäläkäyttöön. Hankkeen LVIAJ-suunnittelun hoiti Metalli ja LVI-Lundgren yhteistyössä Uponorin kanssa.

Omavaraisuutta energiankäyttöön
– Suunnittelun lähtökohtana oli matalalämpöjärjestelmä, jolloin saadaan ilmainen viilennys koko rakennukseen. Maakaivoistahan saadaan kesällä jäähdytysenergiaa, kertoo kohteeseen lattialämmityksen ja -viilennyksen yhdessä Uponorin kanssa suunnitellut Jarmo Lundgren.– Tavoitteena oli maalämmön tuoma energiatehokkuus: asiakas halusi energian käyttökulut mahdollisimman pieneksi ja riippumattomuutta öljystä ja kaukolämmöstä.
Maalämmön tai muun ilmaisen kylmänlähteen käyttö viilennyksessä on sekä energiatehokasta että edullista. Samaa lattialämmitysputkistoa käytetään kesäaikana tilan viilennyksessä. Viilennyksessä Uponor-lattialämmitykseen liitetään Uponor Fluvia EPG 6 -pumppuryhmä. Tuote on esivalmistettu tehtaalla, joten sen asentaminen on nopeaa. Pumppuryhmä säätää ja kierrättää maaperästä saatavaa ilmaista kylmää, joka toimii energianlähteenä lattiaviilennykselle.
Lattiaviilennyksen teho perustuu suureen viilentävään pinta-alaan ja pieneen lämpötilaeroon huonelämpöön verrattuna. Kondenssivaaraa ei ole, koska lattiaan syötettävän veden lämpötila on alhaisimmillaan 17 °C. Viilennysteho betonilattiassa on noin 40 W/m2.
Suunnitelmat ja rakennusurakka etenivät Lundgrenin mukaan jouhevasti. Lopputulos miellyttää sekä tilaajaa että toteuttajaa.
– Hanke sujui mallikkaasti ja kaikki meni kuten piti. Vaatimukset täyttyivät paremmin kuin odotimmekaan, ja kaikki on toiminut todella hyvin. Projekti eteni aikataulussa, minkä lisäksi laskelmat ja todellisuus osuivat yksiin. Se on merkki onnistuneesta suunnittelusta. Ja asiakas oli kaiken lisäksi tyytyväinen, se on pääasia, Lungren toteaa.
– Uusi halli on täyttänyt odotukset sataprosenttisesti, voisi sanoa jopa että ylittänyt ne. Varsinkin lattiaviilennys on ollut todella hieno juttu, kertoo Kiviniityn Auto- ja Maatalouskonehuolto Oy:n toimitusjohtaja Juha-Pekka Kiviniitty.
Poikkeuksellinen ratkaisu
Teollisuushalli lattialämmityksellä ja -viilennyksellä ei ole kaikista tavallisin näky, ainakaan Suomessa.– Euroopassa on tehty tämänkaltaisia ratkaisuja, mutta Suomessa tosi vähän. Tämä oli meille ensimmäinen liikekiinteistö, johon olemme asentaneet lattiaviilennyksen. Aiemmin olemme kyllä tehneet koulun, johon tuli lattiaviilennys, mutta ei näitä montaa ole, Lundberg tuumaa.
Myös myyntipäällikkö Sami Matikka Uponorilta on tyytyväinen innovatiiviseen ratkaisuun.
– Metalli ja LVI-Lundgren on ollut hyvä asiakas, olemme tehneet heidän kanssaan paljon yhteistyötä. Pirkanmaalta tuskin löytyy toista hallia, jossa olisi lattiaviilennys. Keväällä 2012 Jyväsjärven rannalle nousi kuusikerroksinen Technopolis Innova 2. Rakennuksen alta hyödynnetään maalämpöä, joka kerätään energiapaaluilla. Ratkaisu on ylittänyt kaikki odotukset.

Vuonna 2014 valmistunut Kastellin monitoimitalo on Oulun kaupungin oppimis-, harrastus- ja kulttuurikeskus, joka palvelee kaupunkilaisia monipuolisesti. Taloon asennettiin Uponorin lattialämmitysjärjestelmä.
Päiväkoti rakentuu energiapaaluilla
Vaaralanpuiston päiväkodin toteutus perustuu Vantaan kaupungin toimeksiannosta lähes 0-energiapäiväkonseptin pohjalta laadittuihin suunnitteluohjeisiin. Päiväkodin rakennustyöt alkoivat loppukesästä 2016 ja hanke valmistuu heinäkuussa 2017. Hankkeen kustannusarvio on 5,4 miljoonaa ja päiväkoti on mitoitettu noin 130 lapselle. Eri energiantuottovaihtoehdoista Vantaan kaupunki valitsi kohteeseen Uponorin ja Ruukin yhteistoimituksena energiapaalu- sekä aurinkokeräinjärjestelmän.

The New Deichmanske Library - Bjørvika, Oslo
Deichman is equipped with Thermally Active Building System - a system for storing the energy in the concrete ceiling. It is primarily a cooling system, but it can also be used as a heating system. When in cooling mode, no energy is used as the heat is drawn into the concrete, only when it is transferred from the concrete and into the water pipes that are cast in the decking. The need for installed power is reduced, and operating expenses are significantly reduced as opposed to in a air-based cooling system. The TABS is cast into the Prefab elements, which is a BubbleDeck construction with spans up to 10.5 meters.

The plumbing company Mälardalens Rör in Västerås moved from their premises that they had been in since the end of the 80s. In November 2021, the first test trench was taken and at the turn of the year 2022/2023 they moved into the new office on a plot of land they have owned for a long time.
