One of the largest stormwater tanks in Sweden, with an impressive capacity of 2180 cubic meters in dimension DN2000 SN4 Weholite, represents a pioneering project in stormwater management.
The tank is the result of an extensive process that included several services and expertise in dimensioning, design, calculations, welding, profile filling and proof printing and the magazine was installed in the Linnéan quarter, Järvastaden in Solna. The project also included the installation of three Uponor Vortex 500.
Services
Dimensioning and Design: A dedicated team of engineers and designers from Uponor Infra worked collaboratively to create an efficient and robust structure with the capacity required to handle large volumes of stormwater.
Calculations: Advanced calculations and simulations were used to ensure that the dimensions and capacity of the reservoir were optimal to cope with different water flows and loads.
Welding: High-quality welding and construction were performed according to industry standards to ensure durability and long-lasting function.
Profile filling: Precision and accuracy in the profile filling ensures the magazine from lifting.
Pressure tests: Strict pressure test process was carried out to ensure that the magazine meets and exceeds the requirements for strength and safety.
Result
The completed stormwater tank represents a pioneering achievement in stormwater management in Sweden. Its impressive capacity and robust construction position it as a flagship in the industry, ready to meet the challenges posed by stormwater management with safety, efficiency and sustainability.
