Historia budowy kościoła


Rok 1999 W maju rozpoczynają się prace przy fundamentach kościoła. Kierownikiem budowy zostaje inż. Roman Żero z Bielska Podlaskiego, a głównymi majstrami Bogdan i Piotr Zabłoccy z Rudki k. Brańska. Kościół budowany jest sposobem gospodarczym. Obok stałych pracowników w prace angażują się z pomocą także parafianie. Dzięki ciężkiej pracy i ofiarności wielu ludzi roboty posuwają się szybko. Podczas Nabożeństwa Ekumenicznego w Drohiczynie Ojciec św. Jan Paweł II poświęcił kamień węgielny, pochodzący z Bazyliki Grobu Pańskiego z Jerozolimy.


Rok 2000 W dniach od 13 do 20 maja b.r. w parafii trwają misje święte; na zakończenie których Ks. Bp Antoni Dydycz wmurowuje kamień węgielny w ścianę frontową kościoła.


Rok 2001 Od 3 listopada 2001 r. w parafii jest czczony św. Hubert, patron myśliwych. Jego obraz poświęcony przez Ks. Biskupa znajdzie się w specjalnej kaplicy w nowym kościele. Jesienią tego roku biskupi z Italii zostawiają swój dar na główny ołtarz w kościele.


Rok 2002  Prace przy kościele posuwają się szybko. W tym roku wylewane są stropy kościoła; murarze murują z cegły klinkierowej piękne gzymsy.


Lata 2005 –2007  Zakończono murowanie świątyni, trwają prace nad wysokimi iglicami, które wraz z wieżami będą miały wysokość 38m. Tam też będą usytuowane tarasy widokowe.


Rok 2008  Wiosną 2008 r. zostają przeprowadzone prace związane z elektryfikacją, radiofonią oraz tynkowanie kościoła. Następnie montowane są instalacje ogrzewania podłogowego w systemie Uponor Tacker na powierzchni 560m2. Do instalacji użyto rury wielowarstwowej MLC. Wykonała ją firma Miazgasan z Siemiatycz – autoryzowany wykonawca instalacji Uponor, z którym firma współpracuje od 12 lat. Ogromne zaangażowanie, wsparcie techniczne oraz kompetencje pracowników Uponor zostały docenione przez Księdza Proboszcza nowowybudowanego kościoła.
