The new summer cottage house in Suolahti, Äänekoski, is using floor heating and cooling controlled by an Uponor Smatrix Pulse control system. The heat source will be a NIBE geothermal heat pump. Uponor and NIBE were responsible for the design and sizing of the heating and cooling system for the new house.

Due to the interest rates of the floor structures, underfloor heating at Uponor's new head office required a solution that would raise the floor surface as little as possible. The Petreliuksenrinne housing company controls a group of residential buildings that were constructed in 1969. The company manages 124 flats, which were subject to an overhaul of their water supply and sewerage systems. The floor drains, bathrooms, electricity distribution and antenna systems were also overhauled.
Construction of the pipe network for cooling water at the Keljonlahti power plant began in December 2008. 3,000/3,300 mm Weholite pipes were selected for the network. The combined length of the entire intake and discharge pipe network for cooling water is 1,714 metres.
