VVS företaget Mälardalens Rör i Västerås flyttade från sina lokaler som de huserat i sedan slutet av 80-talet. I november 2021 togs det första provgrävtaget och vid årsskiftet 2022/2023 flyttade de in i det nya kontoret på en tomt som de ägt sedan länge. Vi hälsade på och pratade med ägarna Robert Lind och Veronica Lange för att höra mer om projektet.

Underfloor heating and cooling for comfortable living in a summer cottage house
The new summer cottage house in Suolahti, Äänekoski, is using floor heating and cooling controlled by an Uponor Smatrix Pulse control system. The heat source will be a NIBE geothermal heat pump. Uponor and NIBE were responsible for the design and sizing of the heating and cooling system for the new house.

Fastighetsägarna på mälarön Gösholmen i Kvicksund, mellan Västerås och Eskilstuna, fick under 2009 vatten och avlopp till ön. Anslutningen blev verklighet tack vare Uponors frostskyddade rör.

Due to the interest rates of the floor structures, underfloor heating at Uponor's new head office required a solution that would raise the floor surface as little as possible. A functional result was achieved with an unusual implementation, low-structure underfloor heating plates, which are mainly used in renovations of detached houses, and which increase the floor height by only 15 millimetres.

In both winter frosts and summer heat, living comfort is also ensured by water-circulating underfloor heating and cooling connected to building automation.

Small group home gets its own Clean II -wastewater treatment plant
The biochemical batch treatment plant Clean I has been serving residents of detached houses for more than 15 years. Clean II, which was launched in spring 2023, uses the same technology to purify twice as much water. It can therefore be used by, for instance, two detached houses. Clean II has been installed at a small group home in Hollola.

Founded in 1971, Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center in Finland, Minn. was the first environmental learning center nationally accredited as a K-12 school. More than 15,000 people all over the region stay at the facility for several days to immerse themselves in developing the knowledge, skills, motivation and commitment to create a quality environment.
